We're back!!

We have actually been back for almost a week now, but if you have ever been away from your "home" for 2 weeks, you know what it takes to get settled.

We owe a lot of thanks to the Lord for keeping us safe on our 13 hr drive to PA and the 13 hr drive back to Wisconsin. He kept us safe and helped us get to PA without sitting in any traffic (I think this was the first trip there we didn't sit in any traffic). We also made it back to Wisconsin without sitting in any traffic either. I'm very thankful for that b/c Kaleb was getting a little fussy around Chicago and that would have been terrible sitting in traffic there.

Anyways, about our trip.... Kaleb and I (Naomi) had a great time with our family, nephews, nieces, aunts, and cousins. Kaleb really enjoyed getting to play with his cousins (who adore him) outside, every day. We went to the local park, went swimming, caught up with some old friends, spent time with his grammy and pappy great, loved and spoiled by his Nana and Pa and Gram and Pappy Cahill. We have lots of pictures to post once we can gather them from various family members.

Dan also had a very productive 2 weeks in Nashville. He was working of course, but not as long of hours as expected, Praise God! Kaleb and I were definitelly excited to have him back home with us, we sure missed having daddy around for that long.

So, here we are back in Wisconsin. We've got a busy few months ahead of us....the calendar is pretty busy for the rest of this month, September, and well into October. I sure hope it slows down for at least 1 week where there isn't any appointments or projects to do, but I don't forsee that happening until at least Christmas or there after. I guess this is what it means to have a family. I am often reminded by a comment made from a friend in Utah. She is a wife and mother of 4 children and she preached a message at my baby shower with Kaleb. She said, " You may think you have your day planned, with a detailed "To Do List", but don't get discouraged when bedtime rolls around and you haven't even completed the first item." This is so true... I often recall before Kaleb was born that I would have all the time in the world to spend time in Gods word, house chores, and run errands, but I must admit....there are times in my day when the only time I have alone with my God and I, is in the shower. But I know, God understands what I'm doing during the day is honoring him by raising my child (soon to be children) in an environment surrounded by his love and his grace.

Check back for some pictures! Don't have time to dig up the pictures right now, but I'll be sure to show you our adventures and fun we had.

In Christ- Always!

In a Nut Shell....

Can you believe it is July 21st, already?? That means it is almost August. Not sure where the month has gone.

We've been pretty busy this past month and I don't for see it slowing down until at least September, just in time for it to pick up again.

Dan has been doing lots of traveling this month for work. That meant leaving mom and Kaleb at home for a week at a time, but we survived! It definitely was a blessing to have Dan back home, only in time for him to leave a week a later.

So, what has been going on with us since July 2007. Well, we completed our move to West Bend WI in June and settled into apartment/house for the year. It was surely a bitterly cold here this past winter and needless to say lots of snow ( guess that is what they are known for). When I say snow....I'll show you our last snow fall we had of the year, which fell after Easter Weekend. And unfortunately, the only snow removal equipment we had were 2 snow shovels we recently purchased before winter. It was a fun experience!

Needless to say, since last July to this July... a lot has changed. We moved to the other side of town in West Bend because our first apartment/house just wasn't doing justice for us and now with baby #2, we needed more space and a better insulated place. The Lord has blessed us with a beautiful condo on the South end of town (which has helped with gas prices b/c we walk to the local grocery stores, walmart, and shopping stores). Dan is a little closer to work on this side of town as well. Pictures will follow in August, once we are done traveling. We haven't finished all the decorating yet and that will be done before September, Lord willing.

We are gearing up this week to leave for 2 weeks. Dan, Kaleb and I will be driving to PA and then Dan will be flying to Nashville for 2 weeks for work. He is working with a team to integrade a company they purchases a few years ago into the Schreiber network. Basically, they are just converting their computer and operation systems to conform with the rest of the company. Meanwhile, Kaleb and I will be chilling in Pennsylvania with our family b/c neither of us wanted to be in West Bend for 2 weeks without Daddy. We will be returning to Wisconsin around August 10th. And soon after that, baby Kaisen Isaiah will be here in late October.

That is basically all for now! We'll be sure to update you with some pictures of our new place upon our return to Wisconsin. God Bless!

A Year to the Day

It has been exactly 1 year since we managed to post on our blog. We will get better at doing this, I promise. A New Year's Resolution (we can start that now, right?!!?).

Not sure where to start, but a lot has changed since last year. Kaleb is no longer a lil'baby. He is 14months old, yiKes! Moving, cruising, talking, climbing....just about anything a toddler can do right now. When people say babies grow fast, they sure don't lie about that. I often look back at pictures of him when he was a newborn or even last month and he has grown and changed greatly since then.

Besides Kaleb, we are enjoying the time we have been in West Bend. We have been here for over a year, the longest place we have lived since we got married 3 years ago. We are trying to be content, as content as we can be. Just letting the Lord work in our lives right now. We go where he directs us and if he wants us here for a few more years, then I guess Wisconsin is where we will be.

That really isn't all that is going on with us. We found out in early February that Kaleb is going to be a big brother..wohoo, for mommy and daddy. Our lil'baby boy who is currently nameless is due Nov. 1st, 2008. We'll be sure to keep you updated as the next few months fly by. Until then, we must get back to our parently (if that is such a word) duties.

Gods Precious Gift

I use to be this little, look at me now!

We've decided to create a blog....so we may be a little behind, but this seems to be the best way for us to keep each of you updated on the gift God has given us. He sure is growing. A whoppin' 8lbs 15 1/2 oz on June 25th and I'm sure he is pushing 9 1/2 lbs by now. Some days it feels like he was just born. We enjoy every minute we have with him, from his coo's to his crying. We sure enjoy being parents.

Our jobs are great here in Wisconsin. Dan does like what he does. Not sure what he does, but all I know is, he is own boss. Wohoo! How exciting! He has worked very hard to get to this point in his career/life and the Lord has surely blessed him for his efforts. I, Naomi, on the other hand love my job too. The Lord has provided for us financially for me to stay at home with Kaleb.
